What’SUP Yoga?

WHAT TO EXPECT

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY!

Our classes are safe for beginners, even if you’ve never done yoga or been on a paddle board. Of course we will do our best to keep you safe and most of the waters are shallow, however, it’s likely that you may fall in. So if you cannot swim or are afraid of water, please consider that before booking. Contraindications for yoga in general are uncontrolled high blood pressure, recent surgery, and any exercise restrictions from your physician, like neck or back injuries, heart problems, pregnancy, etc. Remember this practice is for you, so don’t worry about forcing yourself into the poses to keep up with your neighbor. As long as done properly, you will still receive the benefits of the poses even if you choose the modified options we give you.

WHAT TO BRING

On the board: (less is more!) water, sunglasses, hat, water shoes, dry bag (if needed). Don’t forget your waterproof camera!

Before/after your paddle: sun screen, bug repellant, towels, change of clothes, cooler and snacks.

WHAT TO WEAR

Bathing suit or comfortable clothes that don’t restrict your movement (especially hips and shoulders), but not so lose that it will fall over your head in downward facing dog.
